The Fourth Decade

It's the first day of my 30's, and I'm at work and sick. I hope this is not a sign of what the next decade will bring :(

Other than the sniffles, it's not really looking so bad I guess - Emily and I have started booking things for our US trip in May. The plan is to do a little touring around California/Nevada/Arizona, then fly to New York followed by about 2 weeks of driving around the northeast, finishing up in Chicago. It's going to be a fairly busy 2 weeks, with lots to see and a fair bit of driving. Should be good though.

I've been a bit slack at blogging lately, so here's a quick overview of what's happened since the last update:

  • I bought a treadmill and have been trying to get into running. It's mostly working - I went in a 5km fun run last month, finishing just under my target time of 35mins. Not too shabby for someone who couldn't run even 200m in one go 3 months ago. I have another fun run this Sunday, but with this cold I seem to have picked up I think I'm going to be slower
  • I bought a Nintendo DS with a gift voucher left over from xmas. It's been great for making the daily commute go real quick. I'm sure it will come in handy on the US trip.
  • The Bullets won the championship! To celebrate, you should all buy some prints. :P
  • I went go karting with a few friends and most of the S1 guys, as a birthday celebration for myself and Justin. That was all kinds of awesome, so much so that it's likely to happen again some time, possibly even regularly.
